Location of organs in the body
Imagine your doctor explaining your illness to you using the finest medical terminology. When you get home, you still have tons of medical expressions buzzing through your head. They urgently need advice and are unable to find the exact location of the diseased organs in the body. Common terms are used in anatomy to help you do this.
Locations in human anatomy
- The human body is initially divided into levels. It is best to stand in front of a mirror and mentally divide your body into four levels.
- The transverse plane divides your body horizontally in the middle. So roughly where your hips are in an upper and a lower half of the body.
- The frontal plane divides your body into a front view and a rear view, also seen in the middle.

Where are the organs in the human body?

- The intestine covers the entire lower abdomen.
- This lies between the right and left hips, i.e. in the middle of the lower abdomen bladder and in the woman the uterus.
