  8. Boil this mixture again and when the sugar has dissolved, let it cook for another 5 minutes.
  9. Then fill the hot cranberry juice into sealable glass bottles and boil them down.

Other uses for cranberries

  • If you prefer syrup using as juice, you can also make syrup. To do this, put 1 part fruit and 1 part water in a saucepan as in the recipe and then boil the resulting juice with as much sugar as the fruit until it is syrupy. Bear in mind that the syrup will continue to gel when it has cooled down and therefore do not allow it to boil down so far.
  • You can make dried cranberries either in the dehydrator or in the stove and then use them like raisins. They fit in perfectly muesli or give sweet bread a special taste.
  • Jam can also be made from cranberries and used either as a spread or for cooking.
