  1. Start by washing and pitting the plums thoroughly. Put the plum halves in a large saucepan and chop with a hand blender. Depending on your taste, you should still have a few pieces left over for your jam.
  2. Now add the preserving sugar and the gingerbread spice to the plum mixture. Stir the mixture well and add some prune juice if necessary. Now you can add the cinnamon sticks and, if you like, stir in some plum liqueur.
  3. Let the jam mixture boil for about three to five minutes, stirring constantly. The jam is ready when your jelly test is successful.

How to prepare the jam jars

  1. You should boil your already washed, clean jam jars again before filling. Fill a large saucepan with water and bring the water to a boil.
  2. Place the jars and lids in the boiling water for at least sixty seconds to disinfect them.
  3. Now you can take the jars out of the pot with tongs and turn them upside down on a clean tea towel before you pour your winter plum and cinnamon jam into them.
  4. When filling the glasses, you should make sure that as little air as possible remains in the glass. Close the jars tightly and place them on the lids to cool.
