What does Tucholsky mean by usage poetry?
Even those who only understand a little about poetry automatically associate Tucholsky with so-called useful poetry. But what did the eloquent journalist want to say?
On 09. January 1890 a boy was born in Berlin-Moabit, who was there a few years later in the Weimar Republic knew how to cause a stir as a respected publicist, writer and journalist - Kurt Tucholsky. Together with Berthold Brecht, Erich Kästner and Joachim Ringelnatz, he coined the concept of utility poetry.
