What can you do about teary eyes? You usually ask yourself this question when you have just cried and then have to go to an important appointment. Unfortunately, you don't even have to cry to look like this, even a real one cold, an allergy or just not enough sleep can cause those red, puffy, howled eyes.
Treat howling eyes quickly
- Put a cooling bag over your eyes. Let it sit for about 5 minutes. The cold contracts the fine veins and relieves the swelling.
- Cook black ones tea and place the cooled tea bag over your eyes. It should stay there for about 10 minutes.
- You can also help a little with eye drops against dry eyes, but these only relieve the redness, the swelling remains.
- Put two teaspoons in the freezer, if they are really cold, place the teaspoons over your closed eyes. Wait until the spoons are no longer cold to the touch. The teaspoons work like an ice pack, but even a little better because they lie directly on the eyes.
- Wash your face with really cold water. This reduces the swelling of the eyes, and since the cold the skin bleed better, it will turn red. So the red eyes don't fall immediately.
- Above all else, clean your eyes after crying. Dark shadows from the bleeding mascara make the whole picture that much worse!
