Most people use glasses cleaning cloths to clean their glasses without leaving streaks. They are practical, small and do not scratch the glasses. However, these cloths also have to be washed at some point.

This is how glasses cleaning cloths are washed

1. Pour warm water into your sink or bowl.
2. Add a little mild detergent. If you don't have a mild detergent, you can also use normal detergent, it just shouldn't be lipid-replenishing.
3. Soak your glasses cleaning cloths briefly in the soapy water.
4. Rub the cloths against each other and swirl them thoroughly through the wash water a few times to remove grease and dirt residues.

5. Rinse the glasses cleaning cloths with enough clean water to remove all detergent residues.
6. Put the towels down dry on the heater or otherwise hang it up.
7. Please do not use moisturizing detergents or fabric softeners.

A cleaning cloth for glasses can be put in the washing machine

• If you have to wash delicates at 30 ° C or 40 ° C anyway and don't use fabric softener, you can put your glasses cleaning cloths in the machine.
• You can also wash the cloths together with towels up to 60 ° C. If a lower washing temperature is indicated on your cloth, you should of course not wash it at 60 ° C.
• Even the tumble dryer does not damage the glasses cleaning cloths.

You can usually get new glasses cleaning cloths from the opticians free of charge or at a low price if your cloth should not have survived the wash cycle. After a while, it is advisable to replace the old cloths with new ones anyway.
