What you need:

  • Cobblestones
  • Gravel or sand
  • Vibrator

This is how the experienced builder paves

  1. Before you start with the Paving work you should provide a suitable substructure. The thickness of the frost protection layer should be at least 20cm on sidewalks and applied directly to the compacted substrate.
  2. You can create the paving bed on the substructure. This should be at least 5cm thick and consist of sand or grit. The pavement bed initially remains uncompacted before it is shaken off with the help of the composite stones after laying.
  3. The experienced specialist always paves overhead, so that the area that has already been worked does not have to be stepped on. You should keep a gap of 3-5mm between the individual stones.
  4. Check the course of the stone again and again with a string.
  5. Then the pavement can be filled with a complete joint filling. If necessary, the joint material has to be applied several times and slurried with water.

  8. Variants of paving can be achieved, for example, by using natural stones or by varying the laying forms.
  9. The trained specialist paves natural stone by digging the stones into the bedding layer with the help of a hammer and hammering them into place. The gaps can be filled with gravel. By using the vibrating plate, the initially slightly bumpy surface becomes almost completely flat.
  10. Vary the pattern of the plaster bandages! In addition to the classic row bracing, you can also choose the diagonal or arched form as well as the polygonal bracing. Let your creativity take over your mind and body!
  11. Please consider: If you are unsure about the correct method of patching or if you feel overwhelmed, it is best to seek advice from a specialist.
