How to assemble a downspout

  3. With the installation of the downpipe, start at the drain of the rain gutter. First mount a pipe bend on the drain socket. There is a groove in the pipe bend in which you insert a rubber sealing ring. The matching sealing rings are usually included in the scope of delivery. Then simply put the bow on the socket.
  4. You then take a second elbow and hold it against the wall. Then measure the distance between the two bends and saw off a corresponding piece of pipe. Plastic pipes can be cut excellently with a fine-toothed saw.

  7. In the next step you mount pipe clamps on the house wall. The clamps are dowelled to the wall. The distance between the clamps should be a maximum of 1.5 m.
  8. Then saw the downpipe to the required length. However, you have to make sure that it protrudes a few centimeters into the upper pipe bend. So you have to leave it a little longer.
  9. Finally, insert the downpipe into the upper arch and fix it with the previously installed clamps. The clamps consist of two halves that are connected with screws. You need a ring spanner of the appropriate size for fastening.
