What you need:

  • many flowers
  • long blade of grass
  • Piece of wire

Weaving a wreath of flowers - the preparations

  • Look for beautiful flowers in the garden - preferably together with your child. Daisies and dandelions are best, but long-stemmed margarites and small sunflowers are also suitable for tying a wreath. Of course, you can also tie different types of plants together to form a wreath of flowers.
  • Only choose plants with a particularly long stem. Short stems cannot be braided as long and therefore give the wreath less support.
  • Place all the plants, the long blade of grass and possibly the piece of wire on the table.

How to tie the headdress from flowers

  1. Choose three flowers with particularly long stems and place them next to each other.
  2. Now start tying the wreath by picking up all three flowers. Place the right stem over the middle one, which is now on the outside on the right. Now it's the turn of the left handle. You must also place this over the middle stem. Add the next flower now, so that two plants already belong to this strand.
  3. Tie funeral wreaths yourself

It is a sad occasion that makes tying the funeral wreaths necessary. As …

  4. Now braid the right stem back to the middle, but also add the next flower here.
  5. Now take the left strand again, add a flower to it and place it in the middle. Then it is the turn of the right strand again, to which you also add the next flower.
  6. Repeat the process until the wreath is big enough.
  7. Now close the wreath by fixing the beginning with the end. You can use a blade of grass to do this, for example. A piece of wire, however, offers a better and, above all, longer hold.

So, as you can see, it doesn't take much skill to tie a wreath of flowers. So that the flowers do not wither so quickly, you should place the wreath in a bowl filled with water in between and in the evening.
