Open the Skyrim console

There's good news and bad news for all Skyrim players. You can actually undo the talents and redistribute the points. However, this is only possible with the computer version, since you have to open the console via a keyboard command and this is not available at all with the console variants.

  • Therefore, as a console player, you unfortunately have to live with your "skilled" character. You can of course create a new character and plan your talent points better from the beginning and overall in the future.
  • Or you just keep playing your current character. The higher your level, the less your wasted talent points will count. From level 60, it may well be that your wasted talents now have to be proven anyway.
  • As a player on the computer version, you're in luck. You can undo the talents and redistribute the points.
  • To do this, open the with the ^ key keyboard the console.

Undo talent

  1. After opening the console in Skyrim, enter the command "removeperk -perk ID-". A detailed list of Perk IDs can be found on the UESP.net Wikipedia website.
  2. It can happen that the talent was undone, but the point was not re-credited on the other side. In this case use the command "player.addperk -perk ID-". The problem should now be resolved and the perk point restored.

It is best to avoid this problem in the first place by carefully planning your character's talents at the beginning. As a console player, this is all the more important, because in the end you only have the choice of living with your skilled character or starting a completely new game.
