Different ways to refuel

You can fill up in different ways - depending on the circumstances there are advantages and disadvantages:

• You can only fill up for a few euros when the tank is almost empty, but the prices are relatively high again.
• On the other hand, you can also take advantage of it when the prices are cheaper. Then it is always worthwhile to let the tank fill up. It is also important to have a full tank, especially on longer journeys. After all, you don't always know in advance where the nearest gas station is.
• However, you shouldn't forget that gasoline also has a certain weight. So if you drive with a full tank, the total weight of your vehicle will increase and fuel consumption could increase. This increased consumption does not necessarily have to be noticeable, but you should still be aware of it.

Let the tap click into place

If you choose the option of completely filling the tank, then you can either use the the entire time, keep the tap in your hand and the lever depressed, or you can leave the tap snap into place.

1. To do this, take the tap out of its anchorage and place it in the open tank nozzle.
2. Now you can press the lever firmly and let the lever click into place audibly.
3. When you let go of the lever, it should still be locked in place and you can wait until the lever releases by itself.
4. As soon as the lever releases it means the tank is full. To the safety you can press the lever again after a few seconds and check whether more gasoline flows into the tank. In many cases, the gasoline foams up in such a way that the pump switches off. If you wait a few seconds, however, a few liters may flow into the tank.
5. If you do not want to fill up the tank, but want to stop beforehand, you have to push the lever up again so that it comes out of its anchoring. At the same time, the fuel pump is also stopped.
