If you want to make something out of stones, you are quickly faced with the question of which glue you can use to glue stones and whether you can mix them yourself.
Different glue for stones
The question of what stones should be glued with depends on the area of application and the stones. It is best to test out what is suitable for your purpose as an adhesive for stones.
- You can glue stones quite well with a self-mixed tile adhesive that is suitable for the thin-bed method. Mix very small amounts with a little less water than required. Then the stones don't slip so easily and the glue sets faster.
- If the tile adhesive is not suitable, you can also glue with mortar for natural stones. Here, too, it is better to stir a little more firmly than too liquid.
- There are special epoxy-based adhesives available in stores that can be used to glue stones. These adhesives are transparent and glossy and don't look very good on stone.
- A plasticine adhesive that consists of 2 components has proven itself very well in the production of stone figures. The so-called power dough is even suitable for connecting stones with vertebrae and using it as a weight when fishing. The connections are waterproof and resilient. Put on protective gloves when working with the product.

It definitely makes sense to buy an adhesive that you have to mix just before you use it. If you don't want to mix anything, you can also use assembly glue. But glue by stone for mixing is much better.
