Timetable with abbreviations for the subjects
Which subject abbreviations are best used to design your own timetable? With just a few tips, you can create a timetable that is very clear.
Which subject abbreviations are there?
- First of all, it is important to know that you can assign an abbreviation to all subjects.
- The subjects can usually be abbreviated with their first three initial letters. An example would be "Deu" for the subject German.
- In the brackets you will find the broad abbreviations for the most important school subjects that you might need for your timetable: mathematics (Ma), English (Closely), Latin (Lat), French (Franz), physics (Ph), Chemistry (Ch), biology (Bio), Music (Mu), Art (Ku), story (Gesch), Religion (Reli), Sport (Spo).
- Electives or other subjects can also be abbreviated using the three first letter abbreviation rule.
Design of a clear timetable
After you know how to abbreviate the subjects and thus also know which abbreviation stands for which school subject, it is very useful to arrange the timetable clearly.

Structure school folders - one folder for all subjects
Tired of buying so many different school folders? Or forgetful, ...
- You draw a clear table with six columns and depending on your needs enough rows down.
- In the first column write "Time", in the columns next to it: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
- In the lines below the time, write the respective school hours. For example from 08: 00-08: 45, from 8: 45-09: 30. You can also write the pauses in these lines.
- Under the columns for the days of the week, write the respective subject abbreviations that you have on the respective days at certain times.
- If you enter all the abbreviations for the individual subjects at the right times, you will get a perfect and clear timetable.
