3. If the stains are still there, you can try vinegar. Apply some undiluted white vinegar, preferably vinegar made from clear vinegar essence, and wash it off after half an hour. If this has significantly improved the discoloration, but has not yet gone, repeat the process.
4. As a last resort, all you have to do is try chlorine bleach. This should also take effect for at least half an hour before you wash it off with water.

Windows partially grout

Unfortunately it is the case that the silicone on windows forms a permanent bond with many substances. For example, plasticizers made from rubber can penetrate the silicone and permanently discolor it. Then the only thing that helps is the exchange.

1. Use a blade to cut the silicone along the glass of the window and frame. Cut into the silicone in front of and behind the discoloration and use a small screwdriver to make these small cuts. These cuts work better with a cutter or scalpel. Pry out the discolored silicone. Caution: Do not exert any pressure on the window pane, it could burst. Watchmaker screwdrivers are best, they are narrow and quite sharp-edged.
2. Slightly bevel the silicone that remains on the window at the edges with the scalpel and inject into the resulting Joint with fresh window silicone, which you can adjust to the original joint shape with a finger moistened with washing-up liquid. In any case, only use window silicone, not for bathrooms. This means that you do not need to replace all of the silicone on the window with small discolored areas.
