Shisha tastes like coal

The shisha, in English water pipe, has become more and more popular in Germany over the past few years. The many types of tobacco that are available for shisha alone make them versatile and exciting. It is of course all the more annoying when the smoke from the shisha tastes like coal. Fortunately, this can be avoided quite easily.

If the smoke tastes like coal - take proper precautions

There are a number of things you can do in advance so that your shisha doesn't taste like coal:

• Buy good quality charcoal that crumbles well.
• Do not use self-igniting charcoal. Instead, invest in a bunsen burner that you can then use to ignite the charcoal.
• Also buy high-quality tobacco and always seal it tightly so that it stays nice and moist and sticky.

• When you fill the shisha, make not just one hole, but many small holes in the aluminum foil you are using.

As you can see, the right preparation is important. But even after smoking, there are a few things to consider so that the shisha does not taste like coal the next time it is used.

Clean the shisha properly after smoking

1. Rinse the tobacco head with clean water. Remove the remains from the holes with a thick needle.
2. Clean the column of smoke with a long dish brush. Use toothpaste for stubborn stains. Then rinse the column of smoke thoroughly with tap water.
3. Then definitely tip the water out of the glass bowl (never forget!) And rinse with clear water.
4. On the other hand, you simply blow the shisha hose free before and after each use and then hang it up to dry, ideally in the fresh air.

It is very easy to keep a shisha clean and prevent the unpleasant charcoal taste.
