Change the design of the Google homepage
If you want a personalized homepage on Google Chrome, that's not difficult. Learn the few clicks of the mouse to change the Google home page.
Google Chrome is next to Firefox, Safari and the Internet Explorer one of the most popular web browsers. The program, which Google made available for download for the first time in December 2008, quickly established itself on the market and is enjoying increasing popularity. You can easily personalize the browser by changing the homepage in a few steps. Here you find out how this works.
How to change Google Chrome's homepage
- When you open Google Chrome, you will see a wrench on the button bar in the top right corner. Click on the appropriate icon.
- A menu then appears with further options. Click on “Settings”.
- A new pop-up window will now appear. In the top bar you will see the fields "Basic Settings", "Private" and "Details".
- Click on "Basic Settings". On the left-hand side you will find the heading “Homepage” in bold and right next to it the field “Open this page”. Mark the field, whereupon you only have to enter the Internet address with which you can change the homepage.
- If you have not yet created a free Google Account, you should do so now. Otherwise you can now conveniently log in with your access data.
- Changing the design of the home page is now child's play. When you go to your new Google homepage, the program suggests a few design options. Select one of the designs with a click of the mouse and the next time Chrome will open with a new look.
