Refill the electronic cigarette with liquid
An electronic cigarette does not work without liquid. Depending on how much you use it, the aroma-enriched liquid is used up more or less quickly. If the tank is empty, it must be refilled. This is not difficult even with different systems. With the right tools and handles, you can do it quickly and cleanly.
Fill individual tanks with liquid
The electronic cigarette often consists of a battery, an evaporator and a tank with a mouthpiece plugged in at the top, into which the liquid is filled.
- If the tank is empty, carefully pull it out of the vaporizer by the mouthpiece. Turn off the battery beforehand so that the vaporizer is not accidentally switched on without a tank insert and liquid.
- If you want to vape the same flavor again anyway, no major preparations for the refill are necessary.
- Use a syringe that doesn't have a sharp needle, just a thin metal tube. Use this to draw enough evaporator liquid out of the bottle.
- At the bottom of the tank is a hole that the atomizer spike usually extends through. This is where you insert the tip of the syringe and fill up the tank. Be sure to leave a quarter of the tank empty.
- If you want to change your taste with the new filling, you should lift off the bottom plate of the tank and clean it with a little warm water. This is all the easier if you use soft silicone lids instead of the usual hard plastic ones.
- Rinse the tank with water and then simply dry the inside with a cotton swab. Then fill in the new vaporizer liquid, close the lid and put the tank back into your electronic cigarette.

It only takes a few puffs for the new flavor to kick in. This is because the wick must first vaporize the remnants of the previous liquid.
Fill up electronic cigarette with clearomizer
If you prefer a clearomizer rather than a separate system, tank filling is different but no more difficult. With a clearomizer, a clear plastic tank is immediately combined with the vaporizer unit. The previously separate system above your battery has become a single system that releases the vapor through a mouthpiece.
- With the clearomizer, there is usually a residue of liquid in the tank, even if the slightly smoky taste of the wicks indicates that it is better to refill your electronic cigarette.
- If you just want to refill the same flavor, you have it even easier than with a separate system. Simply turn off the mouthpiece and refill the liquid with the syringe or a filling bottle with a syringe attachment.
- Make sure that you carefully guide the metal tip of the syringe past the steamer head with its rubber cap. You should also not slide the metal tube along the inside of the clearomizer to avoid scratches.
- Slowly squeeze the liquid into the clearomizer, always keeping an eye on the scale on its side so you don't overfill.
- Turn the mouthpiece back on and wipe it off with the tissue.
- If you want to change your flavor with the new filling, you should first rinse out the clearomizer tank. A small amount of liquid remains at the bottom, which would otherwise mix with the new flavor.
- Simply fill the syringe with warm water and squeeze it into the clearomizer. Then briefly put on the mouthpiece and shake the tank.
- After pouring out the water, let the clearomizer dry out a bit and finally fill in your new flavor with the syringe.
Although one tank is sufficient for both systems, it is advisable to have a larger number, which you only fill with a special flavor. So you can always enjoy your electronic cigarette with an unadulterated taste experience.
