• In addition, you must absolutely relax your facial muscles. Not only is a smile prohibited, any other form of recognizable emotion is also prohibited. The reason for this is that the scanners that are responsible for reading your profile at airports or other places need a template that is as neutral as possible.
• Your face must also be clearly visible in the photo. Cast shadows are therefore also prohibited, as are hair falling on the face, headgear or reflective glasses - not to mention sunglasses.
