Gymnastics exercises for the little ones

  1. You can lay out five mats in a circle for the gymnastics exercises with the little ones. A different exercise is performed on each mat. If you whistle once, the exercise begins, after two whistles it ends and the children change mats in a clockwise direction.
On the first mat the children jump alternately on the left and right leg, on the second mat they jump the kindergarten children like a jolly jumping jack and on the third mat, both legs are very high hopped.
The forward roll is then practiced on the fourth mat and the forward crab walk is tried out around the fifth mat.
  2. Children love competitions. Divide the kindergarten children into three small groups and line them up in rows. There is a wastebasket at a distance. Now the children are given toys. At the first whistle, the first child runs to the wastebasket, throws his toy in, runs back and hits the next child, who then runs off and also throws their toys into the basket. Then the whole thing works the other way round and everyone gets their toys back in the competition.
  3. You can also line up small obstacles (cones or toys). Now the children have to run around the obstacles, first run, then hop on one leg and hop on both legs, then in a crab walk.
