VIDEO: How to make a frog lantern
Prepare the body of the frog
If you want to make a frog lantern, you should first make the basic shape of the frog:
- To do this, start by inflating a balloon, which will later take on the basic shape of the frog.
- After you've tied the balloon, the next thing you can do is tear up green tracing paper. The pieces of tracing paper do not have to be the same size.
- So that the tracing paper now sticks to the balloon, you have to stir the wallpaper paste.
- Now you can brush the transparent paper with the paste and then stick it all around the balloon. Glue several layers on top of each other for stability.
- Then leave the paste for approx. Dry for 2 days before using this Handcraft continue.

Finish the fancy lantern
When the basic shape of the frog lantern is dry, you can continue with your handicrafts:
- To finish, first draw two large oval shapes on green cardboard to represent the frog's feet.
- Then you need to draw 6 circles on yellow cardboard and then cut out both the green ovals and the yellow circles.
- Now glue 3 circles each to the front piece of an oval.
- Then you have to repeat the last 3 steps to make the frog's hands as well. However, the hands should be a little smaller than the feet.
- After that, you need to glue a green pipe cleaner to each hand and foot.
- Now pierce the balloon and then glue one hand to the basic shape in the middle on the right and left.
- After that you have to glue the feet on the underside of the form.
- Now cut open two more white circles and draw a black pupil in each circle.
- You now have to glue the eyes on top of the green basic shape and paint a black, laughing mouth on them.
- Poke two holes in the top of the shape to attach wire that you can use to hold the lantern stick later.
