You can make body butter yourself. So that's exactly what you get Skin careyou like.

Making body butter - what you need

  1. The basic ingredients are mostly shea butter and cocoa butter. These can be supplemented with beeswax or other waxes, as well as with essential oils or perfume oils.
  2. For processing you need a small and a larger pot, a thermometer and small molds into which the body butter is filled. Small jars, sandpit molds, muffin molds, ice cube molds or the like are suitable.
  3. The possible recipes are as varied as the selection of vegetable butters and oils available. Grapeseed oil, apricot oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, or almond oil are commonly used ingredients. With the fragrance oils you can combine fruity oils such as orange oil or apricot and peach, but also vanilla oil, which always goes well with cocoa butter.

Notes on the recipe for body butter

  • The vegetable butters are divided into refined and unrefined butter. The unrefined butter has the better care properties. However, it is never pure white and has a distinct odor of its own.
  • If you want, you can also color your body butter. Sea buckthorn pulp oil, for example, is suitable for this.
  • In addition to shea and cocoa butter, you can also use mango butter. If you want to use these in the recipe described above, replace 25 grams of shea butter with 25 grams of mango butter. This will make your body butter a little firmer.
