Facebook: hide an album
If you want to hide an album on Facebook or only make it accessible to certain friends, then that is easily possible. All you have to do is make the right settings in the privacy menu.
Hide an entire album on Facebook
- First log into your FacebookAccount one and visit your own timeline.
- In the middle under your cover picture there is a button labeled "Photos". You have to click on this.
- On the page that has now opened, select "Albums" at the top.
- You will now see all your albums listed on Facebook. The albums that can be completely hidden have a black gear in the lower right corner of the box. The required settings can be made here. Select "Only me" if you want to block all content for everyone.
- Via "User defined" you can set certain people who are allowed to see the content of the album. The contents of these albums are then invisible to everyone else.

Sometimes it is the case that you cannot hide the entire album, but have to make these settings for each individual image in the album. The gear is gray in this case. To hide the content, do the following.

- To do this, go back to your history and this time select "Activity log".
- On the left there are several links, here you have to click "Photos" and then "Your photos".
- All of yours will now appear pictures sorted by months. To the right of the individual photos is again the symbol with the small down arrow, which you can use to select the audience for these photos.
- Set any pictures you want to hide to "Just Me" or "Custom" if you want to share them with a few friends.
Even if this seems a little time-consuming and complicated, as is so often the case with Facebook so that it can all be done quickly and easily once you know how to do it.
