How to make your own gingerbread house

  1. To make the crispy house, you first need the baked gingerbread, as described above. This should still be hot.
  2. You place the finished stencils on the gingerbread dough and cut out the shapes. Make sure you have duplicate on all sides.
  3. Cut a small round window and door out of one gable end. Then remove the parts from the baking sheet and let them cool down well.
  4. In the meantime, sift the powdered sugar, add the 2 egg whites from the separated eggs and stir everything into a thick glaze. Fill this into a piping bag with a small perforated nozzle. If you don't have a piping bag, you can also use a freezer bag and cut a small hole in one corner.
  5. Now first glue the house frame together with the cast. This then has to be approx. Dry for 30 minutes. Then glue the roof panels in the same way and leave it approx. Dry for 30 minutes. Attach the door (slightly open) with the casting and let it dry as well.
  6. Now you can let your imagination run wild. Decorate the finished crispy house with plenty of frosting, almonds, gummy bears, smarties, etc. Then let the finished crispy house dry a little longer.
