Install the program to convert files to MP3 format

  1. Double-click the installation file and select the "Run" option in the next window.

  4. After the download has been completed, end the installation by clicking on "Finish".

Convert CDA files to MP3 format

  1. Open the FreeRip MP3 program.
  2. At the beginning the program is set to "Ripper". Change this to "Converter" to be able to convert CDA files to MP3 format. To do this, click on "View" in the upper tab and then select the "Converter" entry with a mouse click.
  3. Now you have to choose the files that you want to convert. To do this, press "File" in the upper left corner and select the option "Add files to convert".
  4. A new small window will open in which you can select the files to be converted. Once you have finished making your selections, click "Open". All selected files appear in the main window.
  5. Click on the symbol with the CD and the arrow, which stands for the conversion, then the conversion can be started.
  6. A small window will appear showing the progress.
  7. When the file has finished converting, click "Close" to exit.

How to convert with Nero

  1. To convert your CDAs, start the Nero burning program and select the option "Audio-CD".
  2. Put the CDA that you want to convert songs from to MP3 format into your CD drive.
  3. In the “Tools” menu, select the “Save Tracks” option. The program now reads in the songs on the CD and displays them in the window.
  4. Select the songs you want to save as MP3 files. Alternatively, you can select all the songs at once.
  5. In the storage options, enter the storage location where the MP3 files are to be saved on your hard disk at. You also have to select “MP3” for the storage format.
  6. By clicking on the corresponding button, you start converting your CDA into MP3 format and then saving the files. Depending on the number of songs selected, this may take a while.

After all the desired songs have been saved as MP3 files in this way, they can be found in the specified directory. You can then copy these files to your MP3 player and play them there.
