Where do I get my divorce decree from?
Those who have not yet received their divorce decree should be patient at first. You will get it after you get the title from the family court. Even if you have lost the document afterwards, you do not have to do long research to find out where you can get a new one. The competent authority is the family court that decided the judgment.

- Note that your marriage can be divorced by either resolution or judgment. It depends on when you submitted the application. Both are forms of decisions that the family court makes. If this is done after 09/01/2009, a decision will be made. Applications made before this date will have to go to a divorce led by divorce decree.
- However, where you get the documents from is the same for both. The family court is always responsible. This is also the right place to go to get a certified copy.
