You take your wallet to hand several times a day and always have it with you. Reason enough to come up with individual design options for a nice wallet. Think about the requirements you have on your wallet: should it have slots for chip cards? Is a simple bag enough for some money? Which formats should find space? Then choose a model and make it to your liking.

A nice wallet for your change

1. A very simple model for a nice wallet is exactly this: a pouch. Pick a nice fabric and cut out a circle depending on the size you want.
2. If the fabric is fraying, sew it over.
3. Now thread a ribbon around the edge that will later be used to close the wallet. To make the bag easier to move, you can also provide the edge with eyelets through which you can then pull the tape.
4. You will attach two beautiful pearls to both ends of the ribbon to prevent it from slipping through the eyelets.

5. You can also embroider or patch the bag to make it more interesting.

A wallet just in case

The following model, which comes closest to a classic wallet, is a little more elaborate.

1. Use fabric and lining that you like.
2. Think about how the wallet should be structured, i.e. how many compartments the wallet should have in what size. Cut out the compartments accordingly, once from the lining material and once from the outer material.
3. Now put everything on top of each other as it should look in the finished wallet. Think about the order in which you are going to proceed. At the end, every open edge should be finished with bias tape. This requires some planning. As a rule of thumb, start with the small compartments at the top and work your way down.
4. If you want, you can also add a zipped pocket for change to the wallet.
