Make a bikini yourself - the right fabric
Before you start designing and tailoring a bikini yourself, you should first think about the material so that the bikini will sit properly in the water later. The following fabrics are suitable for a bikini:
- One type of fabric that is particularly suitable for swimwear is spandex. This fabric can also be found under the names elastane or lycra. Spandex has all the properties you need for a bikini, such as dimensional stability and only low absorption properties.
- In an emergency, you can also use microfiber fabrics, although these very different fabrics are only suitable to a limited extent.
