The width and height of the letter are given, so now it depends on the thickness and weight of the filled envelope. If the A4 envelope to be sent is not thicker than 20 mm and not heavier than 500 g, then it is a large letter and this would have to be franked with 1.45 € postage. It is sufficient to exceed a single criterion to get to the next higher level, namely the maxi letter.
- The maxi letter can weigh up to 1000 g and be 50 mm thick, in order to be transported for € 2.20. All values above are already counted as parcels. If the respective letter is to be sent as registered mail, a surcharge of € 1.60 is due, for a registered letter it is € 2.05, which is to be added to the normal postage.
